Llain Activity Centre

We understand that sometimes it is hard to keep everyone amused during a family break, especially the younger members of a party. For younger people especially, may we suggest visiting the Llain Activity Centre during your stay at Felin Hedd.

This is a family run centre, suitable for individuals, small and large groups aged 8 and above The wide range of activities include an adventure course, zip wire and high ropes, orienteering, climbing and abseiling, extreme climbing on the climbing tower, kayaking and canoeing, sailing, raft building, archery, a forest adventure, walking, and pioneering.

Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre

Bwlch Nant Yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre also provides a complete day out, with woodland walks, adventure playgrounds, mountain biking, and finally, the magical experience of witnessing the daily feeding of red kites over the lake.

Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre is perched on a dramatic hilltop, straddling the boundary between the lowlands and uplands, and has commanding views of Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains.

It is well-known for its long-established tradition of daily feeding of red kites. There is a range of waymarked trails for walkers, mountain bikers and runners.

Remnants of the lead mining industry are still visible along the trails but today bilberry and heather cover the hills whilst majestic red kites circle above. There is also a skills park with a purpose-built track for mountain bikers to practice their technique and a waymarked trail for horse riders.

Bwlch Nant yr Arian has been awarded the Gold Award by Visit Wales for attractions which make an exceptional effort to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for their visitors.
