Blue Flags, Seaside and Green Coast awards

The Wales Coast Path stretches for 93Km from the sandy dunes of Ynyslas on the River Dyfi northwards to historic Cardigan southwards, and is one of the best ways to explore Ceredigion’s Heritage coastline, dotted with countless distinctive towns and settlements, fruit of a long and exceptional history of human occupation, from Celtic saints to Cistercian monks – even the Knights Templar!

Many of the beaches and sandy coves you will encounter have been given Blue Flags, Seaside and Green Coast awards, and form much-needed havens for rare sea birds, dolphins and porpoises. Cardigan Bay, The Penllyn, and Sarnau are particularly notable in this respect, due to their status as Marine special areas of conservation.

Near to Felin Hedd is the Devils Stair Case  located on the boundary between Powys and Ceredigion counties, in the heart of central Wales, running through the Cambrian Mountains.
