Felin hedd is surrounded by diverse field systems known as ‘rhos’ pastures.

These are characterised by a distinct profile of grasslands and rushes, which eventually give way to wetland systems, our nearest and most internationally renowned being Cors Caron, home to many rare birds, plants, and insects.

There are also ancient woodlands, mountains, and coastline to explore, indeed Ceredigion has no less than 20 nature reserves, some of which have been awarded either Special Area of Conservation status or have been designated Marine special areas of conservation.
